SALVATION ARMY PARS...We ARE Salvation Army THE PARS Since 2002, Pierre Area Referral Service (PARS) is The Salvation Army Service Extension Unit for Hughes and Stanley Counties. PARS wishes to say THANK YOU to all businesses, volunteers and donors for their support throughout the 2021 Bell Ringing Campaign. Service Extension Units are volunteer branches of The Salvation Army in communities where Corps officers are not located. The goal is to provide assistance to people during crisis situations and to join with other community resources to provide additional help. These Units provide temporary emergency assistance based on a budget raised by local volunteers through the traditional Christmas bell ringing campaign. Additional funds are raised through community donations, along with direct mail appeals. 90% of funds raised is directly credited to the Unit, with the remaining 10% available for disaster relief statewide.
