ENGIE puts renewables at the heart of its decarbonization strategy: With +3.9 GW of renewable capacity added in 2023, and 6.3 GW under construction from 60 projects at the end of 2023, ENGIE is in line with its objective to reach 80 GW in 2030 (2023: 41.4GW). We continue to work for a net positive impact of our renewable installations on nature through the implementation of the Avoid-Reduce-Offset strategy. Additionally, we are committed to continuously refining our tools to quantify our impacts both in construction and operational phases. Our impact assessment studies yield biodiversity data, which we then contribute to natural science research via GBIF, the world's largest biodiversity platform. We implemented an action plan designed to greenify our supply chains and improve the climate strategy of our main suppliers. We pave the way towards a circular approach of renewable energies and are already reaching recycling rates above 90% for all our wind turbines and solar panels! These commitments are embedded into our "SET- ("Sustainable Energy Transition") label which reflects the way ENGIE develops and operates its renewable installations.
