Self-Advocacy Program Coordinator This individual will primarily be responsible for implementing the Partners in Policymaking training initiative and will assist the SD Council on Developmental Disabilities (SDCDD) to manage South Dakota Advocates for Change (SDAC) and other administrative duties. This position is located in Pierre, SD. Work will be done in coordination with the component programs at Disability Rights South Dakota. The Self-Advocacy Program Coordinator will work a minimum of six weekends per year. The successful candidate will work directly with the DRSD & SDCDD Executive Directors, and other staff. This person will provide support, as needed, to DRSD employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Coordinate and conduct all activities relating to Partners in Policymaking, including Maintaining a working knowledge of all Disability Rights South Dakota services and scheduling training dates and venues; hiring speakers; outreach for participants, preparing materials; etc. Mapping out training plans and schedules, designing and developing materials, facilitating the Partners in Policymaking sessions Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and costs Assisting SDCDD with the SDAC Set up zoom and in-person meetings REQUIREMENTS: Proven working experience in project management Excellent verbal and written skills Ability to work in effectively with others EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. Experience working with or on behalf of people with disabilities is preferred. program areas. Participation in staff meetings, program meetings, and other meetings as appropriate. Work performance consistent with the South Dakota Rules of Professional Conduct Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis Use and continually develop leadership skills All other duties as assigned Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multitasking Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out duties and grant requirements Position is open until filled. Starting salary $45,000+ DOE along with excellent benefits. Sexual Assault Disability Liaison This individual will be responsible to carry out the duties of the Disability Liaison to the victim services programs throughout South Dakota. Work will be done in coordination with the component programs at Disability Rights South Dakota. Position location will be determined depending on successful candidate.
