This is a full-time contract position with summers off. Seasonal Museum Associate - will work unilaterally with fellow staff in assuming the general daily responsibilities of the Museum. This position will be 20-40 hours per week within hours of museum operation: Mon-Sat 8am-6pm & Sun 9am-5pm and requires working weekends and summer/fall holidays through October. Dress code required. This is a nonexempt position. Religion Teacher - responsible for the instruction of students, organization of instructional lessons and implementation of the religious education curriculum, while being a contributing member of the community. Collections Care Intern - responsible for ensuring collections safety procedures are followed, records are maintained and relevant processes are in place to maintain a safe environment and standardized processes for the preservation and account of objects within the historical artifact collection. This is a non-exempt position. Teacher - responsible for the instruction of students, organization of instructional lessons and implementation of the education curriculum, while being a contributing member of the community. This is an exempt position. High School Transition Specialist - support on-going educational assistance for all High School students, as well as serving as the primary staff liaison with colleges and programs that support higher education for Native Americans. In addition, this role assists current and former students with secondary education, military, or career/employment while transitioning to life after high school. This is an exempt position. Curator of Collections and Exhibitions - The Curator of the Aktá Lakota Museum is responsible for administering the preservation, care, and research of the museum's cultural, historical, and contemporary collections. This position also includes the planning and execution of cultural-related programs and events.
